HIGH-QUALITY, LOW COST FEED

As the nation’s leader in irrigated acres, Nebraska offers an abundant supply of quality grain for feed. This includes more than 1.27 billion bushels of corn harvested from 8.25 million acres; 250,000 acres of sorghum; 4.66 million acres of soybeans ; and 2.85 million acres of hay. Taking feed resources a step further, Nebraska produces a consistent supply of alflatoxin-free corn. In recent Nebraska Corn Quality Study, more than 95% of the samples collected over 14 years graded U.S. #1 or #2.

ABUNDANT WATER SOURCES

We offer an abundant supply of water for livestock and crop production. As home to the world’s largest source of underground water, the Ogallala Aquifer, Nebraska farmers can easily supplement precipitation levels through irrigation. Thanks to careful planning and oversight by the Natural Resource Districts, ground water levels have remained steady or increased for most of the state, which supports needs today and well into the future.

COST-SAVING ETHANOL CO-PRODUCTS

Nebraska’s production of distillers grain continues to grow. Marketing projections for distillers grain is 1.595 million metric tons, and there is potential for this to double or triple in the next few years. Which means, not only is this cost-effective feed ingredient accessible today; it continues to become easier and cheaper to obtain. Choose Nebraska and as your operation grows, the feed ingredients you need will be here.
